As a Psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker, I understand the importance of balance and resiliency when trying to manage life’s transitions. Fertility, post-pregnancy, relationships, work-life balance, mood-related issues and grieving the loss of a loved one can all be more easily navigated with supportive care. From both professional and personal experience, I understand that everyday challenges and personal stressors can take their toll and make it more challenging to keep it all together. When faced with tough decisions and life changes, we need time and space to prepare ourselves. Counselling is an asset to navigating life’s challenges and ensuring that cope and adapt. My mission is to provide counselling to help increase mental health and well being by helping you manage and minimize unwanted behaviours, thoughts, emotions and improve resiliency and social functioning.
I work from a client-centred approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Effectiveness Therapy and Mindfulness-based practices. I believe in a holistic approach through the promotion of mental health, versus the treatment of mental illness.
