About Our Depression Counselling

The words depression, depressed and depressing get thrown around a lot, but according to the Canadian Mental Health Association approximately 8% of adults will experience major depression at some point in their lives. When struggling with depression symptoms, it’s imperative to get support sooner rather than later to help manage symptoms.

Everyone experiences stress and “bad days” however when those days turns into weeks and months, we start to experience more serious symptoms of a depression. As well techniques from Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT) can help with depression by introducing strategies to help with emotional regulation and coping with distress.
